A House on Fire

One summer night, I was fast asleep. All of a sudden I heard cries from my neighbourhood... I noticed that a house was on fire. Big flames were coming out of the house. The people were throwing water and sand on the rising flames. I rang up the fire-brigade. The lady of the house left her small baby sleeping in the room in vexation. It was difficult to rescue him. But I managed to keep him safe and sound. The fire brigade controlled the fire Thank God! There was no loss of life.

The car hit the bicycle because the driver could not apply the brakes in time. The cyclist fell down. A big crowd gathered there. People began to shout at the car driver. How I celebrated My Birthday The 10th of January is my birthday. Every year my parents celebrate it with great joy. This year it was celebrated on a large scale. Many friends and relatives were invited to attend the function. In the evening they all came to my home. I cut a big cake lighted with fifteen candles as I had turned fifteen. Some of my friends sang the songs and danced excitedly And on this very day, I got a number of gifts from my friends and relatives.
